Here is post from my amazing sales representative Leanna! Our journey together started at a friends’ dinner party. I had just had my second batch of cards printed after selling out of a trial order online in just 1 week, Leanna said that she immediately fell in love with my card designs and spotted huge potential! When I explained that I was hoping to get my cards into shops, Leanna offered to help me and sure enough after just a few months Leanna had stocked my cards in lots of shops in London. Since then we have become good friends and we continue to work together! In this post she discusses the challenges facing independent shops and lists the amazing shops we are stocked in…
After a lovely meeting with Alex Massey from Karnac books (one of our wonderful stockists) last week, I started thinking about the relationship between businesses, clientele, and buyers and how a happy, knowledgable Sales Assistant can make all the difference when it comes to buying something. How great is it when someone recommends a friendly place to shop or helps you find exactly what you are looking for!
There is so much choice as to where to shop in London and more and more shops are being run off the high street by shoppers going online. I don’t know if it’s just me, but most of the time I want to see and touch items before choosing to buy them. Forming a bond with shops within your local community, well, it just makes life a bit more jolly doesn’t it?! As a small business it’s important to us that we support independent shops. They care about their business and the relationships they form with buyers and their clientele, which makes the whole experience more personal, inspiring customers to keep coming back. I am saddened by the amount of small independent gift shops and book shops that have been run out of business in recent months.
So I thought I’d share details of the independent shops that stock Art By Natasha Jade so that you can visit them yourselves and help support our community!
It seems only fair to start with Karnac as they inspired this blog ; ).
